An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the injured in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The attack - which police said was isolated and not considered terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
